Codima Inc. Unveils autoPinger™

-  Alerting Network Device Failure With Sound Alarms And Integrating Live Views In Visio®

PHILADELPHIA, PA. – April 7, 2009—Codima Inc. (CDMA.PK), a global provider of best practice software tools for VoIP and IT Asset Management today announced the newest addition to Codima Toolbox, autoPinger™. The innovative tool increases IT cost efficiency with minimal effort leveraging the useful pinging technique. The tool delivers innovative sound effects alerting device failure in business critical networks.

Codima Inc., a Microsoft® Certified Partner, offers a fully automated and fully integrated solution managing IT networks cost efficiently. The unified technology includes VoIP pre- and post deployment tools as well as tools for network inventory, mapping and performance monitoring.

The innovative pinging tool brings instant value by automatically notifying IT managers 24/7 when key network devices stop working.

The Alarm sound patterns provide an immediate warning to a network manager, eliminating the need to watch a pinger console or read alarm reports.

By adding the network mapping tool autoMap™, pinging results are visualized graphically live on a network map using Microsoft® Office Visio®.  Users are just seconds away from pinging all the important network nodes such as routers and servers that autoMap™ has automatically detected. Details of the ping target may be entered manually or automatically imported from autoMap™.

Users can also enter for example model name, unit type and location manually or they can be obtained automatically by autoMap™. The Pinger status is shown directly on the Visio drawing, so failure patterns and root causes (failed path components) can be seen immediately.

“Our newest addition to Codima Toolbox leverages the technically simple, but immensely useful pinging technique, demonstrating the benefit of a fully integrated solution. An innovative pinger tool on its own, integrating with other Codima tools, the live views of device failure enables our customers to rapidly diagnose the fault cause, saving critical network down time,” said Codima’s CEO Christer Mattsson.
