How do I find out what is included in the latest software releases?
You can click below to obtain a copy of the latest software Release Notes.
Release Notes are provided with the software and can be viewed via the Start Menu. You can also click below to obtain a copy of the latest software Release Notes.
Codima Partners also have access to power point presentations and Video Tutorials covering the contents of the latest release. These presentations/tutorials provide more detail than the Release Notes. They show the interface changes and provide when relevant applications/benefits information for new facilities introduced in the release.
How do I find out what is included in older releases/tools?
Codima Partners have access to presentations covering the contents of older releases.
You can also make a request to Codima Support department for this information - Support@codimatech.com
How do I get the latest software version?
You can let the Automatic Installation Update facility (Update Service) automatically remove the older software version and install the latest software version, or you can remove the older version using Control Panel - Remove Programs and install the latest version manually - download software from the Codima Web site download page - select the download for the required Toolbox.
Using Update Service:-
You should set up your Host Platform so that it is able to access to the Web. Then you can use the Automatic Installation Update facility. This will automatically tell you if there is an update to the system available. You will need to be authorised to receive updates, i.e., have a current maintenance agreement.
You can also use the Help Menu, where the option Check for Updates will open a Web page listing the available updates, which you can select to download.

The Codima Web site has a download page which can be used to obtain trial software for tools in the Codima Spider™. Go to:-

Full systems - non demo
Where the requirement is for a non demo systems. The same software is used and access to functions is control by issuing license files that are locked to the MAC address of a NIC on the Host Platform.
You should contact Codima or a Codima partner to arrange an evaluation.
How do I get a copy of the Codima Toolbox software?
Codima Web site download page - Trial systems
The Codima Web site has a download page which can be used to obtain trial software for tools in the Codima Toolbox™. Go to:-
License files that allow tool access with limited functionality are used during the demonstration. The Demonstration License allows the software to run on any suitable PC (i.e., software is not machine locked) for a trial period.
After installation, you can access information on the demonstration restrictions using the Help Menu option About Demo Mode.
Full systems - non demo
Where the requirement is for a non demo systems. The same software is used and access to functions is control by issuing license files that are locked to the MAC address of a NIC on the users PC.
You can automatically request an evaluation license using the Help Menu option License Request Email. The request will automatically provide Codima with the MAC address of the PC platform.

If you do not wish to use the facilities described above to supply the PC MAC address, you can obtain it manually. To do this you should type ipconfig/all from a DOS window.
The MAC Address is a 12 digit hex number, e.g., 00-07-E9-5A-77-DB
To get to a DOS window, click Start, then Run, then type cmd in the text box.
If PC has multiple MAC Addresses, you need only to supply one for the license link.

How do I check the version number of the software I have installed?
Use Start Menu/Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs

Minor updates are also made between major releases, mainly to include additional device type support for the Codima Discovery Engine used by both product lines.

Demonstration software
You can download trial Toolbox software from the Codima Web site download page - select the download for the required Toolbox.
Evaluation software or Purchased software
URLs to download software for are provided in the installation instructions attached to the license delivery email.
Updates
